1. CHANGE A TEACHER, HEALTH PROFESSIONAL OR HOMOPHOBIA-CURIOUS OTHER
You can purchase a Beyond ‘That’s So Gay’ book and/or a Pride & Prejudice educational package for a teacher, health professional or homophobia-curious other that you have a connection to. Daniel can also organise for this to be delivered. (see ‘BOOK’ and ‘PRIDE & PREJUDICE’ sections)
2. CHANGE A SCHOOL, COMMUNITY ORGANISATION OR COMMUNITY.
Similarly you can purchase a Beyond ‘That’s So Gay’ book and/or a Pride & Prejudice educational package for a school, community organisation or community that you have a connection to. Daniel can also organise for this to be delivered. (see ‘BOOK’ and ‘PRIDE & PREJUDICE’ sections)
3. HAVE A CUPPA AND DO IT YOURSELF
Sharing a cuppa (i.e. ‘cup of tea’) and sharing your everyday story can be a powerful motivator for change with even the most hardened homophobe. Daniel’s strategy of challenging homophobia ‘one cuppa at a time’ is one that could work for you. Consider using the practical summaries of the Beyond ‘That’s So Gay’ Tour (see Findings), the Beyond ‘That’s So Gay’ book and the Pride & Prejudice program, as well as sharing them with those around you.
4. ORGANISE AN EVENT OR GATHERING
You might consider organising Daniel to come and talk to your group about his tour of regional Australia, his work and how best to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) young people.
5. DONATE
At the time of writing Daniel Witthaus, the Beyond ‘That’s So Gay’ project and the National Institute for Challenging Homophobia (NICHE) is self-funded. It is not funded by government, and relies largely on in-kind support (e.g. accommodation, venue hire, office time, meals, etc) and small donations. Your contribution will make a difference to country Australia.
Individuals, community groups and organisations have generously donated towards the tour. If you would like to donate, feel free to go to do so at PayPal (“daniel@thatssogay.com.au”) or contact Daniel Witthaus for more information.
Thanks to those who have helped so generously so far. Those generous folk are named here:

More coming soon…
G’day Daniel,
I’m a first year at Melbourne University and i was wondering what the chances are in me getting involved in your campaign / road trip? I also have friends who would be interested in raising funds for such a campaign, as i realise that funding is limited.
I do not believe that schools are doing enough to support the LGBTQI community in schools, and i would like to do all i can to help in anyway possible – even if it’s just in schools in and around Melbourne.
So, please let me know!
Love, peace, freedom, equality always!
